Probing the Notorious Scottsboro Trial
American Studies professor James Miller authored Remembering Scottsboro: The Legacy of an Infamous Trial. Covering the infamous trial of eight young black men who were arrested and charged with raping two white women in Scottsboro, Alabama in 1931, Miller examines the impact of the case on the perceptions of race, justice, class, and gender in America.
