Meet Professor Brown
Professor Ken Brown is examining the effects of nanoparticles on embryonic development and on in vitro cultures of adult hippocampal brain cells. Nanoparticles are currently being mass-produced for use in miniature electrical circuits, in medicine and as a tool for cell and molecular biologists. The particles can penetrate cells and their potential toxic effects are unknown.
