Background

Pamela Labadie has been a professor of economics at The George Washington University since 1996. She received her PhD from the University of Chicago and has taught at Columbia University, Stanford University, University of California at Santa Barbara, and the Indian Statistical Institute in New Delhi. She also worked at the Division of Monetary Affairs at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System as a research economist. Professor Labadie has published in journals such as the Journal of Political Economy, Economic Theory, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, and Macroeconomic Dynamics.

She is co-author (with Sumru Altug) of Dynamic Choice and Asset Pricing, published by Academic Press and the forthcoming Asset Pricing and Dynamic Economies, to be published by Cambridge University Press. She works in the areas of monetary theory and finance, focusing on asset pricing in models of incomplete participation, monetary asset pricing models, and optimal risk-sharing with asymmetric information.
