Below is a list of PhD courses for Research Methodology (minor only field) and the most recent syllabi. Introduction to Empirical Political Analysis (PSC 6101) is required of all students and does not count toward a methods minor. REQ are courses that students in the field are expected to take; REC are courses that most students in the field take; OPT are courses that some students in the field may take depending on scheduling, previous coursework, and intellectual interests. This listing does not replace advising by the field convenor or the Director of Graduate Studies. Alternative methodology courses can be taken with faculty advice and approval.
