Requirements Fulfilled by Politics & Values Program

Political Science Requirements

Politics & Values (PSC 1011 and 1012W) satisfies all three prerequisites for a Political Science major (PSC 1001, 1002 and 1003) as well as fulfilling a political theory (Group E) requirement. You can view the entire list of Political Science major and minor requirements here. The spring semester of P&V (1012W) is also a WID course, fulfilling part of your G-PAC requirements in Literacy.

Elliott School Requirements

For students in the Elliott School of International Affairs, Politics & Values will fulfill all the introductory Political Science courses (PSC 1001, 1002, and 1003), two humanities, and a WID. As the course fulfills PSC 1003 (International Relations), you will be exempt from taking Introduction to International Affairs (IAFF 005). Your P&V professor will remain in contact with your Elliott advisor and is always available to help with questions about Elliott requirements.
