My research and teaching interests center on American politics, judicial politics, and political methodology. In particular, I examine judicial decision making, the Supreme Court, inter-branch interactions, judicial appointment politics; public opinion, political behavior, and public perceptions of national institutions. My work has appeared in American Political Science ReviewAmerican Journal of Political Science, Journal of PoliticsPublic Opinion QuarterlyAmerican Politics ResearchElectoral StudiesPolitical Research Quarterly, and other outlets. I teach undergraduate courses in judicial politics, methodology, and constitutional law, and graduate courses in judicial politics and political methodology.
