Background
I am currently conducting field work in Chile with the support of the Inter-American Foundation and Fulbright Foundation. My dissertation, "Indigenous Mobilization in Chile: The Politics of Land Reform and Inequality," explores the efforts of the Mapuche indigenous community to acquire historically-claimed land. I have presented portions of this project at a number of conferences, including the 2011 and 2012 APSA annual meetings.
