Background
I am a Ph.D. candidate working on a three-essay dissertation on the politics of tax breaks (also known as tax expenditures). My research focuses on the ways in which the politics of programs delivered through the tax code differ from the politics of more direct government programs. Before coming to GW, I worked as a lobbyist for Lewis-Burke Associates LLC, a Washington-based government relations firm specializing in the representation of universities and other nonprofit science and education organizations.
