Background
I've primarily lived and worked in northern Uganda and South Africa over the past seven years, conducting field research related to conflict, justice, and aid and peacebuilding interventions. During this time I co-founded a small non-profit that supports local peacebuilding initiatives in post-conflict communities. In the past several years I have also consulted for the South African Human Rights Commission, Oxfam GB/African Centre for Migration and Society, and the International Organization for Migration. At the DC-based Stimson Center, I was a Scoville fellow researching measures of effectiveness in peacekeeping. Each of these experiences has informed my broad interest in justice, accountability, and effectiveness in the aid and peacebuilding field.
