B.A. The Elliott School of International Affairs, The George Washington University
Barnett is a second-year Ph.D. student interested in examining how insurgencies which have been demobilized choose to reconstitute themselves, either by again taking up arms or by integrating into the civilian political process. He is especially interested in Latin America. Barnett received his B.A. in International Affairs and Latin American and Hemispheric Studies from The Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University. He also holds a Certificate in Conflict Analysis from the United States Institute for Peace and a Certificate in Advanced Security in the Field from the United Nations System Staff College.
